Sheikra Announcement
On Wednesday
October 27th, I attended the Press Announcement of the new for
2005 Dive Coaster at Busch Gardens Tampa. Here are the facts:
- Name of coaster - Sheikra (named after a Savannah hawk
known to dive straight down for its prey)
- Two 90 degree drops at 200' and 138'
- 1st Dive Coaster to include an Immelemann loop.
- 360 degree climbing carousel
- Water "Splash Down"
- Track length 3188'
- Top speed - 70 mph
- Ride Duration - 3 minutes
