Sunday: On
Sunday registration began for the ACE CoasterCon at the Coronado
Springs Hotel. Sunday evening we gathered at the entrance to
Animal Kingdom at 8:45 pm. We were admitted to the park for 3
hours of ERT on Expedition Everest and Primevil Whirl. We were
also treated to a buffet of various types of food. There was
some concerns about the weather but thankfully there was no rain
during the entire ERT which was over at midnight.
Monday: The day was a free day for members to either spend the day at
a Disney park or visit the Orlando area. Some of us ventured over to Disney-MGM
studios to catch Fantasmic. The weather again was cause for concern but thankfully
Fantasmic was a go since the rain stayed away. At 10:45 pm we gathered at the
entrance to Disney-MGM studios for our 3 hours of ERT on Rock-N-Roller Coaster
and Tower of Terror. The lines were short and we were all able to ride many times.
There was an incredible array of food in the coaster courtyard. Nothing like
cramming down a lot of food then riding the coaster. The event ended at 2 am.

Tuesday: We gathered at Old Town for the
annual tradition of the Midway Olympics. There was a great
turnout but unfortunately it was HOT! The competition was fierce
but only one team can claim the gold. The winners were announced
at Wednesday night's Banquet. A group of us met at SeaWorld
for an evening showing of Believe and for those who needed
the counts, Shamu Express and Kraken.

Wednesday: Members were free to visit the ACE
General Store, attend the Annual Business Meeting or venture
off to the destination of their choosing. In the evening we held
our Annual Banquet at The Coronado Springs Resort. There was
great food served, awards for photos and videos and guest speakers.

Thursday: Our day was spent at Cypress Gardens
Adventure Park. We had ERT on all the coasters as well as a lunch
buffet. Alan and I attended the annual Regional Reps meeting
to meet with the other reps to exchange ideas and discuss goals
for our regions.
Friday: We traveled over
to Tampa to enjoy a day at Busch Gardens Africa. We enjoyed
ERT on Gwazi and Sheikra. We also enjoyed a delicious lunch
at the park.
Saturday: The last day of
the convention members could attend Wet-n-Wild during the day
and then spend the evening at Universals Islands of Adventure.
The convention was a blast and many members noted to me what
a great time they had!!
